Estimate & Service Terms and Conditions
1. Estimate Validity
Unless otherwise stated, this estimate is valid for 30 days from the date issued. Estimates not accepted within that period may be revised due to changes in labor, material, equipment, disposal, or other operating costs.
2. Estimate Approval
Approval of this estimate, including approval through Jobber, confirms that the client accepts the described scope of work, pricing, payment requirements, and these Terms and Conditions.
3. Scope of Work and Changes
Only the labor, materials, equipment, cleanup, and services specifically described in the approved estimate are included. Additional work or changes requested by the client must be approved by both parties and may result in additional charges or scheduling changes.
4. Deposits and Payment
A deposit equal to 25% of the estimated total is required before work is scheduled or begins, unless otherwise stated in writing. The deposit will be applied toward the final invoice. The remaining balance is due within 14 calendar days of the invoice date.
5. Late Payments
Balances not paid by the due date may be subject to a $25 late fee, to the extent permitted by applicable law. The client is responsible for any reasonable collection expenses permitted by law.
6. Scheduling and Delays
Service dates and arrival times are estimates and may change because of weather, unsafe working conditions, equipment problems, emergencies, utility conflicts, permit delays, or other circumstances beyond the company’s reasonable control. The company will make reasonable efforts to notify the client of scheduling changes.
7. Client Responsibilities and Property Access
The client must provide safe and reasonable access to the work area and identify property lines, irrigation systems, septic systems, underground utilities, invisible fences, private wiring, and other concealed conditions that may affect the work. Vehicles, outdoor furniture, decorations, and other personal property must be removed from the work area. Children and pets must remain safely away from workers, equipment, and the designated work zone.
8. Permits and Approvals
Unless specifically included in the estimate, the client is responsible for obtaining any required property-owner, landlord, homeowners-association, municipal, or other approvals before work begins.
9. Unforeseen Conditions
The estimate is based on conditions reasonably visible at the time of inspection. Hidden decay, underground obstructions, embedded metal, inaccessible work areas, undisclosed utilities, hazardous materials, or other unforeseen conditions may require a change in price, equipment, scope, or schedule. The client will be informed before additional work is performed whenever reasonably possible.
10. Cleanup and Debris
Cleanup and debris removal are limited to what is specifically included in the approved estimate. Firewood, logs, wood chips, stump grindings, excess soil, and other materials will be removed or left on the property as described in the estimate.
11. Stump Grinding
Unless otherwise stated, stump grinding does not include removing the entire underground root system, hauling away all grindings, replacing soil, repairing landscaping, or reseeding the area. The client must identify private underground lines or systems before stump grinding begins.
12. Cancellation and Rescheduling
The client may cancel or reschedule service without a fee by providing at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations or rescheduling requests received less than 24 hours before the scheduled service may be subject to a $50 fee. Any materials, equipment rentals, permits, or other nonrecoverable expenses already incurred may also be charged when permitted by law. No cancellation fee will apply when the company cancels or reschedules the work.
13. Tree and Plant Conditions
The company cannot guarantee the future health, growth, stability, or survival of trees or plants following trimming, removal, treatment, construction activity, severe weather, disease, pest activity, or other conditions beyond its control.
14. Legal Rights
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits any cancellation, warranty, or other consumer rights that cannot legally be waived. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
